Fat Chance

"We will immediately begin a national search for a new head football coach. I am seeking a proven head coach with a proven record of achievement who can reach the level of excellence that all of us desire."

Someone please tell me who the hell they think they're going to get with a "proven record of achievement" and what does that really mean anyway. Hell, Terry Bowden has a "proven record of achievement", but he couldn't get hired by a high school team at this point.

I just keep thinking we should have given Shula at least one more year with J.P. at QB with a good solid year of experience under his belt. What really did we have to lose anyway other than the $4 million we're losing in buying out his contract. Think of the things that could have been built with that money.

I'm sure every coach in America is just dying to come down to T-town and get in this perpetual mess. How about a little f-ing stability to try and build our program back to where it's supposed to be.

Does anyone think the coach who does end up getting the job is just going to come in and have some kind of miraculous season and satisfy all the fickle fans out there. Right, and I have a couple of tickets to next year's national championship game.
